🎡 Facing Challenges

The new day begins

Listen To The Demo

We all have had those mornings when we awaken, and bam, that problem that's been nagging us greets us with negativity.

And the night before we didn't sleep well, tossed and turned, and only dozed off for awhile.

Then the thought hits us, there's more than one problem. Yeah, there's that one major problem, but, other smaller known problems are facing us as well.

And then, we realize there are the problems awaiting us that haven't occurred yet. My goodness, we've only been awake for eight minutes and already the challenges of the new day are beginning to overwhelm us.Β

Yeah, we all have had those mornings. But, the challenges we face are not as great as the challenges Jesus Christ faced knowing what was in His future, before He was crucified.Β

When I gave this some thought, I wondered how did Jesus feel before and after His death. I wanted to write a song lyric to expressΒ how I envision the feelings that Jesus felt: the painful feelings, the joyful feelings, the glorious feelings.

I also wondered is it possible that a 74 year old man who has never written a song lyric before, accomplish such a task. A 74 year old man who can't sing, doesn't know how to play a musical instrument, and doesn't know how to compose music for a lyric. Hmm, more challenges.Β

Yet, I wanted to write the lyric. But, I thought, how do I get started? Then, uh-oh, another challenge...I don't have a computer, a laptop, or a tablet, the only tool that I have to work with is a smartphone that I purchased 9 years ago.Β

But, I started to write the lyrics for a song using my smartphone. An idea popped into my head. I wondered if some of the lines in the song were narrated, would that enhance the quality of the song. Another challenge, lines of narration with lines of words that are sung. And a few of the lines that are sung rhyme with narrated lines. Huh? It did work.

The format of the song, the chorus, the narration, the words, the rhymes, the ambiance, the reverberation, everything seemed to fall into place, as though it was God creating this song.

Okay, now that I've written the lyrics, what's next? Another challenge, find someone who can create and compose music. Yay, I found someone, but, that person abandoned the project. I looked for and found another composer, but, this composer also abandoned the project in midstream. I was very disappointed. The challenge continues, find another composer. Like they say, the third time's a charm. And I am very happy with the 3rd composer's work.

There is no self praise in this song. The song praises God. Because the song praises God, the song creates inspiration and that inspiration can change a negative attitude into a positive attitude.Β

This is not a typical, ordinary "Hallelujah" song. Depending on the performances of the vocalist and musicians, this song could be the "Ultimate Hallelujah Song". Yeah, I know, that's a bold statement to make.

You will know for yourself when you listen to the song. The first 16 seconds of the song sound like wind blowing. Was 16 seconds just wasted? Hold on a second, is that the wind I hear, or, could that be the Holy Spirit singing the song which creates the inspiration? You decide for yourself. The inspiration progresses from the sad, tragic, solemn beginning of the song all the way to the joyful, glorious ending of the song.

Inspiration that makes you feel you can easily face all the challenges that the new day throws at you!

Okay, my next challenge is, find a good vocalist who can sing with a soft voice and a powerful voice. Plus, I need to find good musicians, A great combination of a vocalist or vocalists and musicians are needed to deliver the inspiration.Β

And a challenge further down the road, find a good reputable record label company.

Maybe, with God's help, a 74 year old man can take on these challenges and write good song lyrics with unique concepts.
